D-Day

Take a moment today to remember those who gave their lives 63 years ago today, when the Battle of Normandy began. And remember those who are in harm's way today.

Yeah, no kiddin'! I have a great uncle who was a seabee and landed on that beach (I think) before the troops and watched his entire platoon die, then landed again and watched nearly all his platoon die. He is our slightly wacked uncle (and no wonder, long before the days of ptsd). He used to show us (mostly my bros) the ship tatoo on his chest, which he'd make wiggle...
