The People One Meets

Except One wasn't me in this case. David has been at an alpaca event in Saratoga Spring, in Upstate New York, this weekend (while I've been working for The Man). He phoned me just after starting his return trip to let me know that he'd just met Annie Modesitt, who just happened to be at the same venue for an unrelated workshop with Saratoga Needle Arts. She bought one of his sweaters for her husband.

I can only take 15; I'm a wimp.

Clearly, I'm a wimp. I could only take 14.
So... do I go take karate? or do I just get meaner?

I can only take on 17; must be my children's therapist empathy kicking in!

Huh, based on having about 25 years of martial arts experience, and indicating in a fight I'd have zero morals and would fight as dirty as needed, I only got a 27... so what's with you there dude? Maybe it's because I'm tall and average... and maybe a shorter person would do better??????

I could take 25, which is a good thing to know considering that Little Man will turn 5 in May.

I have no qualms using a 5 year old as a mace if necessary. So dumpy short little me with crap knees scored a 23.
