Shooting this video is actually the longest I have ever been around for the process, since I'm usually going to or coming home from work too late to play a role.

I think that one of the pitfalls of seeing a short video clip Melhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18047049720897209506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22941821.post-22074270433246575132010-04-26T13:47:05.118-04:002010-04-26T13:47:05.118-04:00I too was taken aback by the hog-tie and lifting b...I too was taken aback by the hog-tie and lifting by the ears (or did the llama have some kind of halter on its head for the shearing assistant to grab?). But I will leave it to the experts to debate.

Glad you made it home safely -- kind of an obstacle course on the road at night, huh?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22941821.post-84839496851289405422010-04-26T13:41:02.878-04:002010-04-26T13:41:02.878-04:00Anonymous: Curious that you hide behind a veil of ...Anonymous: Curious that you hide behind a veil of anonymity while you claim expertise. I'll grant that I'm not entirely comfortable with how it's done, either, but a) the 4-point restraint method is actually very standard and recommended by most of the experts as safest for the animal because it keeps them from thrashing, and b) these are not my animals, so I don't have a say in Melhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18047049720897209506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22941821.post-49661564480185511082010-04-26T11:12:25.631-04:002010-04-26T11:12:25.631-04:00Quite a day! I can almost get past the "hog tie" but lifting by the ears is just plain wrong. This may be easier on the shearer but awful for the animal.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22941821.post-2617457423600430022010-04-26T09:00:32.978-04:002010-04-26T09:00:32.978-04:00Oh, sorry to hear about your friends' dog. :(Oh, sorry to hear about your friends' dog. :(Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12959009113795804133noreply@blogger.com
